y customized presentations are highly visual, peppered with real life and often-
humorous anecdotes that help illustrate the concepts of correctly specifying
American Hardwoods afor use in in flooring, cabinetry, furniture and millwork.
The presentation format can be adjusted to the time allotted, however the AIA/
CES presentations are one hour long, allowing ten minutes for Q&A. All AIA/CES
presentations will be developed to allow for SD/HSW continuing education credit.
University lectures are very flexible.
Calling on my 25 years of experience in the hardwood lumber business, I guarantee
to teach everyone, including those who know hardwoods to some degree, something
they didn’t already know.
I don’t believe in podiums — I prefer to move at seat level, engaging audience
members as though I am talking to each of them individually. Having been put to
sleep myself in seminars and presentations before, I do my best to keep everyone
awake and interested.
I rarely use bar graphs and pie charts in my presentations. I would rather devote
visual time to pictures of floors, cabinetry, furniture and millwork in high-end
architectural applications, inspiring designs which will utilize American Hardwoods,
one day becoming part of someone else’s presentation.
